Etats électroniques des boîtes quantiques de semiconducteur : rôle de l'environnement et couplage dépendant du spin

Abstract : After having calculated the bound states of electrons and holes of an isolated self-organised InAs/GaAs quanrum dot, we present the optical properties of such nanostructures .

First , we investigate the influence of the electrostatic environment on the quantum dot decoherence. We show that the electrostatic fluctuations result in two kinds of influence : on the one hand, they only shift the energy transition without involving any broadening, on the other hand, they cause homogeneous broadening like the motional narrowing.

Then, we investigate the effects of the long range exchange interaction on the fine structure of the dot electron-hole pair. We show the possibility of canceling the exchange splitting which results from the shape anisotropy,_ by appling a lateral electric field along its major axis. We also show that a polarisation anisotropy appear because of the nature of the exchange interaction.
