LES RESEAUX NUMERIQUES EDUCATIFS, REGULATEURS, ACTEURS ET VECTEURS DE L'EVOLUTION DES PRATIQUES ET DE L'ORGANISATION DES ETABLISSEMENTS ET DE L'INSTITUTION SCOLAIRES

Abstract : This thesis describes how various networks, gathered more or less artificially under the generic term of educational numerical network, developed in the French school system of 1987 to 2005. Its first object is to show how the contributions of telematics, local area networks, Internet, Intranet and numerical spaces were added the ones to the others to form a stratified unit. Second is to examine how these networks settled like a component of the development of a mediatized school communication.
This process is apprehended under lightings of the technique, the uses and the organization, according to levels' of development which move gradually of the individual and the establishment towards other scales: the academy, the territory, the local community, the education system.
Research takes as a starting point the actor-network theory applied from the point of view aiming at examining the conditions of sociotechnic innovations. The globality of the approach of "the" network considered as a process of innovation resulted in encircling its functional framework in its construction and its evolution. The methods of sociotechnic realization of alloy show the diversity and the importance of the stakes and the actors.
The iterative processes of controversies and strategic alignments which animate them reveal the educational numerical network how becomes factor of a technical, educational and strategic unit.
Carried out work highlights five heavy tendencies: the progressive organization of a total architecture of information, the assertion of the importance of a strategic step, the dynamic ones of use which passes to the second, a logic of industrialization and a progressive extension of the school field towards the residence. Their concomitant character is determining in a general process of globalisation and vulgarizing of the school communication functions.
