Association de la shearographie et des ondes de Lamb pour la détection rapide et quantitative des délaminages

Abstract : The works presented in this report contributes to the development of Non Destructive Testing of carbon epoxy plates. The proposed method combines ultrasonic guide
waves (Lamb waves) for stressing the plate and speckle interferometry (shearography) for measuring the surface deformation. The objective of this work is an evaluation of the performance of this technique for detection, localization and quantifcation of delaminations in carbon epoxy plates.
An analysis of the shearography interferometer gave its sensitivity and the uncertainty of optical phase measurement 2PI/50.
The Non Destructive method consists in imaging the Lamb wave field and the interaction between this wave and the defects that are eventually present in the plate. We have
developed two visualization modes (pass band and reject band). The ultrasonic wavelength, the material intrinsic attenuation, as well as the interaction with a delamination can be measured from the recorded images. These images are very useful to understand
the wave-defect interactions. We have developed analytical models for the interpretation of the experimental results regarding this interaction.
