Modélisation déterministe du canal de propagation indoor dans un contexte Ultra Wide Band

Abstract : Recently, general public expresses a passion for communicating objects, which require the fast transfer of an always increasing quantity of information. In this context, one of the scientific challenges is based on the search for short range high data rates radio transmissions techniques. A possible technique is the use of UWB signals, which were authorized in February 2002 by the American frequencies regulation commission. To evaluate the performances of UWB systems, the modeling of channel propagation is essential. These modelings are generally statistical. The objective of the thesis consisted in examining the contribution of deterministic modeling for the study of UWB channel. The presented works concern the study of the propagation mechanisms impact on UWB signals, the design of a deterministic modeling tool and the realization of measurements that evaluate the modeling tool made.
