Intégration de l'alimentation de la commande rapprochée d'un interrupteur de puissance à potentiel flottant

Abstract : Power converters are nowadays growingly used for mass consumption product applications. This market being strongly competitive, industrial major efforts are directed at reducing costs and increasing the converter reliability. The power converter integration is a mean to answer those constraints. The main topic of this PhD thesis deals with the monolithic integration of the functionalities with the power semiconductors, and in particular the integration of the gate driver power supply.
Two distinct and complementary topologies have been developed and could be integrated. Design methods taking into account the technical constraints of vertical structure semiconductors are presented.
The first topology with two MOSFET components has been studied through simulation and experimental results have been obtained with discrete and integrated components.
The second is composed of both a MOSFET and JFET components. The latter has been presented and studied quasi-exclusively by simulation.
Several prototypes were designed and fabricated so as to validate the concept, the design steps, the operating principles and the integration of the gate driver power supply functionality.
