Construction d'échelles d'items unidimensionnelles en qualité de vie

Abstract : A quality of life scale must verify many properties. Unidimensionality is the most famous one: a such scale measure one and only one concept. The easiness to use the scale is important too. For this, the Rasch model is interesting because it is a mathematical justification of the use of the unweighted score. In this work, we search to select a set of items which verifies a Rasch model. A multidimensional model is defined: the multidimensional Marginally Sufficient Rasch model (MMSRM) which allows each dimension to verify the properties of the Rasch model. Three procedures are proposed to fit a such model to the data, and are compared to existing procedures. A second part concerns the development of programs to use psychometric models under two generalist statistical packages: SAS and Stata.
