Abstract : In this thesis, we address the issue of scheduling in permutation flowshops with time lags between successive operations in the jobs. Such constraints generalize the classical precedence constraints and may be used to model several real situations. Besides classical results from the literature, new complexity results are given. We also describe a detailed state of the art on studies dealing with scheduling problems involving time lags, which underlines the lack of attention paid to these problems. Then we develop a generic scheme, based on a branch-and-bound procedure, to optimally solve permutation flowshop problems with time lags. The efficiency of this method is evaluated on series of experiments. Lastly, some extensions are proposed to take into account additional constraints.
