Valorisation de l'information géographique en agriculture de précision

Abstract : In the agricultural field, the principle of sustainable development began to be applied when productivist agriculture showed its limits. This gave rise to sustainable agriculture which includes a whole series of approach to control the cultures among which biological agriculture and reasoned agriculture are the most known.
Another approach, precision agriculture, relies on very large scale geographical information and adapted tools (Geographical Information Systems and spatial analysis) to manage in-field variability in order to optimize exploitation costs and to limit the environmental impacts of the farming operations. The practice of precision agriculture, in particular the operational implementation of the modulation of inputs, requires the division of the parcel into a few big management zones.
A zoning method thus has been developed. Initially, tests were carried out on the basis of MultiCriteria Decision Making. But this approach was abandoned for reasons of applicability. The method finally developed is based on a hybrid clustering integrating several spatial constraints and allowing to take into account the farmer's knowledge. It makes it possible to obtain quickly and simply satisfactory zonings while offering some validity indicators.
A study aiming at modelling the spatial structure of expensive data while using others cheaper was conducted. We have demonstrated that with our zoning method, it was possible to correctly approach the spatial structure of several relevant agronomic variables using a combination of electrical resistivity, yield and satellite imagery maps.
