Contribution à la caractérisation de matériaux d'électrode positive O3-LiNi0.30Co0.70O2 et O2-LiCoO2 : RMN et calculs ab initio

Abstract : The positive electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries : O3-LiNi0.30Co0.70O2 and O2-LiCoO2 (prepared by chimie-douce), as well as the materials obtained by electrochemical deintercalation have been characterized by XRD, NMR, electronic conductivity and thermoelectronic power measurements. Lithium deintercalation is associated with complex redox processes and/or structural transitions. By the use of the hyperfine interactions, NMR allows one to characterize the local environment of the lithium ions in these phases : defects, paramagnetic cations distribution (nature and/or oxidation state), localized or itinerant electrons... and allows to study the redox processes associated with lithium deintercalation. Simultaneously, first principles calculations have allowed a better understanding of the structural and physical properties of our materials.
