Adressage optique des matériaux à transition de spin du Fe(II)

Abstract : Under an external perturbation (temperature, pressure, light irradiation, magnetic field) spin-crossover compounds based on iron(II) exhibit a diamagnetic state (S = 0) and/or paramagnetic state (S = 2). Optical switch could be used as active elements in data storage and display devices. After a rapid analysis of the photomagnetic effects know on iron(II) spin-crossover compounds, the study was focused on LIESST phenomenon (Light-Induced Excited Spin State Trapping). A new procedure, name Tc(LIESST), has been introduced to characterize a large number of molecular materials. Based on such comparison, the influence of various parameters on the HS -> LS relaxation has been discussed.
