ESTIMATION DES LOIS DE FIABILITE EN MECANIQUE PAR LES ESSAIS ACCELERES

Abstract : The beginning of my thesis aims at understanding industrial and theoretical context of the mechanical reliability as well as the methods used, in order to demonstrate the efficiency of the adopted methodology. For that, we analysed the mechanical systems characteristics, which have a direct effect on the evaluation of their reliability and we also review the main methods of evaluation of the mechanical reliability including comments on their limits of use.
Then, we present specifically the methods of estimating reliability by designing tests during the lifetime of product. Various techniques of tests are useful in the conceptual studies, the programs of development and the manufacturing processes. We show that the accelerated life testing has an unquestionable advantage economically.
The last part presents basic concept of mathematical models for accelerated Life tests and their application to mechanical product. In particular, we consider the application of the Standard Accelerated Life Testing Models (SALT) to components subjected to fatigue damage, by leading theoretical analyses, by simulation and experimental. For that, a model of simulation of fatigue data is built using a damage model and validated by simulation. To apply the SALT models, we consider tow designs of experiments, the first plan by regression and the second one with previously accelerated damage. To estimate unknown parameters of the models, we use parametric, semi-parametric and non-parametric approaches.
This study allowed predicting reliability of mechanical systems, subjected to more severe environment, under normal operating conditions and for the first time to demonstrate the use of SALT models in one mechanical problem, with analytical and real failure data.
