Ecoulements granulaires bidisperses sur plans inclines rugueux

Abstract : For understanding the large mobility of natural flows, we in- terest to the study of monodisperse and bidisperse granular flows. The study of monodisperse granular flows shows the existence of a diameter of beads for which the friction is maximum. This diameter depends on the characteristics of the rough plane (diameter of the roughness, spacing between the roughness) and can be determined by a model of stability without adjustable parameter. The study of bidisperse flows, give rise to, due to the inhomogeneous repartition of the beads during the flow, a lot of interactions dividing in two effects : the “line effects” which have an influence on the morphology of the final deposit (formation of a finger or not) and the “interface effects” (interactions between small beads and the rough plane and interactions between the small beads and the large beads) which have an influence on the thickness of the deposit and on the rheology of these flows.
