Modélisation mécanique par approche continue et discrète des variations du flux sanguin dans la peau et validation expérimentale

Abstract : Mechanical skin irritation induces vasodilation on the line of stroke due to histamine release from mast cells and vasodilation in the surrounding areas induced by pain receptor stimulation. Cutaneous vascular network has been described by a continuous and a discrete approach. The models consist of three layers. The continuous model describes first and last layer presenting irrigation and drainage of the system, as horizontal two-dimensional porous media. The discrete model takes into account the tree structure of the vascular network. Both models describe the intermediate layer as compartment model. Vasodilation was measured using Laser Doppler Velocimetry. Numerical and experimental results were compared by means of the model proposed by Bonner et al., which is based on the frequency spectrum of the Doppler signal.
