QUITTER LA CLASSE : La mobilité professionnelle en cours de carrière des enseignants du premier degré, épreuve cruciale individuelle et analyseur du groupe professionnel

Abstract : To in general study the evolutions of career and the junctions in particular, what could be more banal, finally, for which is interested in an occupational class ? That constitutes simply an angle of attack making it possible to examine the phenomena of professional socialization according to an axis of analysis specified better. And yet, to apply this step to the primary education goes against firmly anchored social obviousnesses. That allows and requires to remotely put the traditional design of the trade of teacher who presents it like a vocation marked by the oblation and "the love of the children". Breaking with this perception of a trade not like the others, the analysis of the processes of professional mobility brings to regard primary schoolteachers as a trade among others. To seek to understand why one leaves a trade in the course of career resulted in reinterrogating the reasons for which one chooses it, and those which make that one is maintained there. The analysis of the starting methods since an occupational class makes it possible to reconsider its relative position among other professions, as well as competences and the occupational resources of its members. The structuring features of the courses of mobility are thus strongly related to the sociohistoric characteristics of the occupational class of origin. But the objective trajectories of professional mobility must be confronted with the direction which the social actors allot to them, and, without yielding to the subjectivism, it is permissible to consider professional mobility in the course of career of the primary schoolteachers as the personal adventure of mobility the proof the social one.
