production de mésons phi, rho et omega dans les collisions d-C d-U S-U à 158 GeV par nucléon, et PbPb à 158 GeV par nucléon

Abstract : Phi and (omega+rho) productions have been studied thanks to muon pair measurements in NA38-NA50 experiment. The same analysis technique has been used for all considered systems that cover the major part of the possibilities, from d-C to Pb-Pb. It is noteworthy that in this analysis Phi/(omega+rho) production ratios are extracted in transvers mass domains. A change in the evolution of production as a function of the system is observed when going from systems using light projectiles, d-C and d-U, to systems using heavy ones, S-U and Pb-Pb. For the phi production an extra increase is observed, which is consistent with the general strangeness enhancement observed in ultrarelativistic heavy ions collisions. These results also suggest that the use of transverse mass should lead to an unified behaviour for the evolution with respect to system for the different dimuons mass domains.
