Influence des petites échelles sur la dynamique à grande échelle en turbulence hydro et magnétohydrodynamique

Abstract : In this thesis, we focus on the small-scale modeling of turbulence to get closed equations for the large-scale (or mean) quantities. We use stochastic or statistical models to explore the three following issues: - the statistics of global quantity in a very turbulent medium, in hydrodynamical turbulence,. By means of a stochastic parameterization of small-scales, we predict the statistical distribution of the torque delivered to turbulence. - the dynamo effect created by a turbulent flow. The stochastic modeling enables us to derive an equation for the probability density of the magnetic field and to derive a criterion for the threshold of the turbulent dynamo effect. - equilibrium states of axisymmetric turbulence, both hydrodynamical and magnetohydrodynamical. a statistical mechanics approach enables us to derive them.
