Modélisation moléculaire : vers un nouvel outil d'aide à la conception multimédia

Abstract : The Multimedia, as a new information and communication technology, is expanding continually. Whereas supply and demand grow, the production as a whole doesn't answer the needs of the users. This is especially due to they joung age of this technology, which leads to a lack of work methods, and appropriate tools for the multimedia document life cycle. Aiming at bringing solutions to improve the current situation, this research introduce a work-tool for multimedia document design. The molecular design enables to translate each document component into an autonomous entity which interacts with all the other elements of the system (including reader). These entities can produce events which eventually alter data, according to particular circumstances. All circumstances define the state of the system, called "the global situation". The modelling through molecular formalism of scenarios of existing documents (movie-picture and real-virtuality application), and the design and the realization of an original document according to the model presented, have proved its interests in the general context of multimedia document production. The main interest lies in a better specification of the modalities of interaction (whether physical, psychological or intellectual) between the document and its user. Thus, the communication processes are priviliged, whatever the technical choices, wich come only second.
