Simulation numérique d'écoulements confinés de fluides miscibles par la méthode BGK sur réseau

Abstract : In this thesis, we studied numerically several confined-flow systems. We first studied the influence of porous media heterogeneities on the spreading of a mixing front between two miscible and viscous fluids. We observed a diffusive mixing law when the viscosity contrast is either neutral or stabilizing. When the contrast is destabilizing, the regime is convective. In the second part, we investigated the displacement of one viscous fluid by another miscible one in a Hele-Shaw cell. The viscosity law is supposed non-monotonic. We described this systeme with conservative equations that present a change of type: hyperbolic -- elliptic. In the last part, we studied numerically and experimentally the stability and the shape selection of the same configuration when the viscosity law is monotonic.
