Cohérence quantique électronique : courants permanents et effet Kondo

Abstract : Persistent currents are one of the most striking consequences of the quantum coherence of the electrons. In this paper, we show that they exist not only in isolated rings, but also in a line of connected rings, even if its size is much larger than the electronic phase coherence length.
In the second part, we show that in metals containing Kondo impurities, the phase coherence time is limited by the spin diffusion and by the spin glass transition that happens at very low temperature when RKKY interactions between magnetic impurities become dominant.
