Hyperdialogue sur internet. Le système HALPIN

Abstract : The subject of this thesis is concerning the written and oral dialog between a human interlocutor and a machine, via the Internet network. We make initially some recalls concerning the man-machine dialogue (MMD) and the Internet network, then we present our methodology of work, based, essentially, on the use. We expose the needs of the users in information retrieval situation. The problems encountered to start a real MMD system are tackled. We describe the hyperdialog concept and a MMD generic system available on the Web is presented. Then, the first system that we developed to collect a MMD corpus on the Web (Halpin-Recueil) is detailed and some significant results are commented. We present our complete MMD software realization, with vocal inputs and outputs via the Web (the Halpin-Documentaire system), and the various necessary components for its implementation on Internet. The management of the dialogue is carried out thanks to a technique based on the recognition of concepts in the speech. The first results obtained thanks to this methodology to collect a corpus bring significant elements about knowledge of the users and linguistic expressions used in this Man Machine dialog. The results, the evaluation, and the limits of the Halpin-Documentaire system are commented before drawing up an assessment of this work and presenting prospects for search for the studied field.
