Etude du comportement de composites stratifiés sous chargement statique et de fatigue

Abstract : This study deals with the behaviour of carbon/epoxy unidirectional laminated composites under static and fatigue loading. The model presented is unified: the same formalism is used for static and fatigue loading. It use damage mechanics, it is written at the ply scale under plane stresses assumption and it is stopped at the first ply failure. This work is placed in the framework of diffuse damage, the assumption of no macro-cracks (even delamination) is done. The industrial application field concerns structure like tubes and high safety context. The experiments held on concerns two testing processes: the traditional traction fatigue testing and a four points bending test on sandwich beams that has developed during this study and that allows to generate compression on one skin of the sample without instability. This testing machine under static loading has shown that kinematical hardening is the more convenient law to describe shear anelastic strains. The first results obtained for fatigue concern mainly the shear behaviour: , a damage evolution law has been built and identified, it depends on the maximum and the amplitude of loading, a fatigue threshold has been observed. The outlets of the study relates to the application on the one hand to the tubes and on the other hand with the woven material for which the assumption of diffuse damage is adapted even.
