Couches minces supraconductrices sous courant de transport : dissipation et application

Abstract : The comprehension of the dissipation in the superconducting state is one of the keys for the development of the technology with superconductors. In the particular field of thin films, this thesis describes the transition on transport current from the superconducting state to the normal state and its technological implications. A viscous motion of vortex (flux flow) followed by an abrupt transition to the normal state is first identified and discussed in niobium thin films. The influence of surfaces on vortex dynamics is also revealed. In a second part, the transition to the normal state for YBaCuO films confirms the high potentiel of superconductors as AC or DC current limiters. It is finally demonstrated that such systems can recover their superconducting state under current.
