DYNAMIQUE DE SPINS DANS LES OXYDES DE CUIVRE SUPRACONDUCTEURS A HAUTE TEMPÉRATURE CRITIQUE

Abstract : The spin dynamics of high-$T_C$ superconductors measured by inelastic neutron scattering is presented. These experiments show strong antiferromagnetic fluctuations in both normal and superconducting states. Over the years, a magnetic resonance peak has been evidenced in various cuprates with crystal structures comprised of $\rm CuO_2$ monolayer units ($(\rm Tl_2Ba_2CuO_(6+\delta))$) and bilayer units ($\rm YBa_(2)Cu_3O_(7)$ (YBCO) and $(\rm Bi_2Sr_2CaCu_2O_(8+\delta))$ (Bi2212). Its energy follows the superconducting transition temperature. These observations naturally emphasize the role of antiferromagnetism for the mechanism of high-$T_C$ superconductivity.
