Influence du dopage sur les propriétés de transport à l'état normal de couches minces de Bi2Sr2Can-1CunO2n+4+y (n=1 et 2). Effet de pseudogap.

Abstract : In this work the electronic properties of epitaxial single-layered Bi2Sr1.6La0.4CuOy (Tcmax=30K) and double-layered Bi2Sr2CaCu2Oy (Tcmax=80K) thin films were investigated as a function of various oxygen content in the same sample. The most intriguing phenomena is observed in the underdoped region of the phase diagram where a pseudogap opens in the electronic excitation spectra in the normal state. Resistivity R(T), Hall effect RH(T) and magnetoresistance MR(T,H) measurements in these phases with the same charge reservoir allows a direct study of the pseudogap effect as a function of the number of CuO2 planes and of the critical temperature. For both phases, in the underdoped region, ones observes a downward deviation from this linear T dependence below a characteristic temperature T*, attributed to the opening of a pseudogap in this region. All the curves can be superposed on a unique curve, different for each phase. It shows twice bigger pseudogap effect in bilayer than in monolayer system, related with the different number of CuO2 planes in both systems. The nearly same order of magnitude of pseudogap opening temperature T* in both phases, also as its steep decrease ending around the optimally doped state does not show evidence of a correlation between T* and Tc. The existence of one critical point around the optimally doped state is also discussed as well as the possible correlation between the superconducting and normal state properties.
