Développement d'un outil d'aide à la décision environnementale basé sur l'analyse de cycle de vie intégré au processus de conception

Abstract : Eco-design is an approach that is increasingly used in the industrial world today. It is one of the best ways to take into account the environmental impacts of a product on the environment, i.e. to assess and improve them. Yet integrating eco-design into the design process as early as the preliminary design stage is extremely difficult when products are very complex, since they are subjected to numerous constraints (regulatory, technical, technological...). The designers at the shipbuilding company DCNS were confronted with this problem, and we have tried to help them answer it in this paper. When environmental aspects are integrated further upstream in the design process, through the creation of data bricks based on the technological brick model (a concept frequently used in most companies), it is easier to deploy an eco-design approach based on appropriate, effective and efficient tools. The methodology proposed here makes it possible to avoid the usual drawbacks of environmental assessment (access to data bases) and environmental improvement (the lack of specific professional knowledge specific to the products). Based on this principle, we developed a "complete" eco-design tool called OCEAN, designed for shipbuilding and based on lifecycle analysis (LCA).
