La démarche de capacité de charge sur Porquerolles (Provence, Parc national de Port-Cros, France) : de la prospective au plan d'actions

Abstract : Faced with an increasing tourist number on the Porquerolles Island (France, eastern Provence, Mediterranean, 13 km², ~350 permanent inhabitants), the Port-Cros National Park has initiated in 2016 a multidisciplinary reflection on the island's carrying capacity. This approach combines a research component with a governance component. This paper describes the method used to lead these two components: an action research coupling a prospective work with a sociologist critical study. This text outlines the methods used and the first main results. It discusses the appropriation of the notion of carrying capacity and the prospective approach by inhabitants and stakeholders.
